participant rights

You have the right to:

  • Make your own choices and have those choices respected

  • Be treated with privacy, dignity and respect

  • Support that reflects your culture, values and beliefs

  • A say in how your support is planned and delivered

  • Bring an advocate, family member or support person to any meeting

  • Communicate in the way that works for you, including through an interpreter if needed

  • Feel safe, and to raise concerns without fear of anything changing for the worse

Support here is built around who you are, not a one-size-fits-all model. That includes your culture, language, beliefs, sexuality, gender identity and background, all of it shapes what good support looks like for you, and it's treated that way from the first conversation.
